Introduction to SAS/ACCESS Interface to MySQL

Note: Beginning with SAS 9.4M8, SAS/ACCESS Interface to MySQL on AIX is no longer available. If you have an existing instance of SAS/ACCESS Interface to MySQL on AIX and plan to upgrade to SAS 9.4M8 or later, SAS recommends that you first unconfigure and uninstall it. When you use SAS/ACCESS Interface to MySQL to access a SingleStore data source, ensure that your session encoding is set to UTF-8. For more information, see ENCODING System Option: UNIX, Windows, and z/OS in SAS National Language Support (NLS): Reference Guide.

SAS/ACCESS Interface to MySQL includes SAS Data Connector to MySQL. The data connector enables you to transfer large amounts of data between your MySQL database and the CAS server for parallel processing. For more information see these sections:
