TEST Statement

  • TEST <model-effects> </ options>;

The TEST statement enables you to perform Wald tests for model effects that test Type I, Type II, or Type III hypotheses. For more information about constructing of Type I, II, and III estimable functions, see Chapter 16, The Four Types of Estimable Functions.

Table 6 summarizes the options that you can specify in the TEST statement.

E Requests Type I, Type II, and Type III coefficients
E1 Requests Type I coefficients
E2 Requests Type II coefficients
E3 Requests Type III coefficients
HTYPE= Indicates the type of hypothesis test to perform
