The SIMSYSTEM Procedure

OUTPUT Statement

  • OUTPUT OUT=CAS-libref.data-table <keyword=name …keyword=name>;

The OUTPUT statement creates a new data table in which to save the values that are sampled from all specified distributions.

You must specify the following option:

OUT=CAS-libref.data-table

specifies the output table in which to save the values that are sampled from all specified distributions.

You can also specify one or more of the following keyword=name pairs:

IOBS=name

assigns a name to the variable that indexes the observation within a replicate of the distribution being sampled.

KURT=name

assigns a name to the variable that contains the kurtosis values.

MEAN<=name>

adds the mean of the distribution being sampled to the output data table and optionally assigns a name to it. If you do not specify a name, the name Mean is used by default.

REPIDX=name

assigns a name to the variable that indexes the replicate of the distribution being sampled.

SIMIDX=name

assigns a name to the variable that indexes the distribution being sampled.

SIMVALUE=name

assigns a name to the variable that contains the sampled values.

SKEW=name

assigns a name to the variable that contains the skewness values.

STDDEV<=name>

adds the standard deviation of the distribution being sampled to the output data table and optionally assigns a name to it. If you do not specify a name, the name StdDev is used by default.

By default, the output data table contains the variables Skewness and Kurtosis, which define the distribution that is being sampled; the variable Variate, which contains the sampled values; and the variable SimIndex, which indexes the distribution being sampled. If you specify the MEAN or STDDEV keyword, the output data table also contains the mean (Mean) or standard deviation (StdDev), respectively, of the distribution being sampled.
