INFERENCE Statement

INFERENCE LA<option>;

The INFERENCE statement specifies the inference-related parameters to use in the Gaussian process classification.

You must use the following keyword to specify the algorithm for the inference:

LA: uses Laplacian approximation.

You can use the following options to specify the features of the kernel:

MAXITER=number: specifies the maximum number of Newton iterations.

THRESHOLD=number: specifies the minimum change of the loss function between consecutive Newton iterations.
