SMC Procedure

The ENDSUBMIT statement is required in order to terminate the user-defined program statements in the PROC SMC statement block whenever you specify the SUBMITMODEL statement without the FILE= option. Do not specify the ENDSUBMIT statement if you specify the FILE= option in the SUBMITMODEL statement. If you omit the FILE= option and you do not include an ENDSUBMIT statement to accompany your SUBMITMODEL statement, then the PROC SMC step ends with an error.
